Release of the new Single Page International 10R Certificate is to be delayed until 1st January, 2020

An IRSA TC review is currently being carried out on better ways to measure and event check 10Rs.

It is obvious now that the proposed changes may affect the new single page certificate, so the TC has decided to hold off the introduction of the single page certificate until the 1st of January 2020.

The new timeline:

– Publishing date: 20 April 2019.
– Effective date: 1 January 2020.
– Existing multi page certificates remain valid and boats may continue to comply with those certificates.
– All new certificates issued after 1 January 2020 shall be made using this new Excel file.

Thank you for your patience here. We believe the review will result in a better system for all.

Prohibited Events Policy documents have been rescinded (removed)

The IRSA Executive Committee voted for the removal of the Prohibited Events Policy and associated documents. This policy had been set up by the previous administration. The IRSA currently has no independent policy position on the running of Prohibited Events and instead uses the World Sailing policy as stated in WOrld Sailing Regulations- WS Appendix 3 Eligibility Code Regulation 19.19 and 19.20
