I have been racing sailboats for almost 60 years. Representing Canada, finished 2nd in the Marblehead World Championship in the UK in 1975. I have served several clubs and organisations both RC and big boat in various roles, including Treasurer, Class Secretary, Fleet Captain, Rear Commodore, Technical Director.
I became a Senior Judge, participating on many protest committee hearings, and as on-the-water Umpire during the Canada Cup trials.I have acted for Canada as Delegated National Member (DNM) to the IRSA, and was elected to the IRSA Executive Committee as Regional Officer – Americas. I also served on the IRSA Executive Committee as Vice Chairman and am now IRSA Secretary.I assisted the IRSA Racing Rules Committee and was appointed to the World Sailing Appendix E Working Group.I also developed and maintain a web site to help radio sailors understand the rules and tactics.Respectfully
